The 1st Military Clinical Hospital with Polyclinic in Lublin is an entity established by the Ministry of Defence providing highly specialised services in numerous hospital wards and a polyclinic. The hospital has well-developed and well-equipped imaging diagnostic and medical analytical departments and a pathomorphology laboratory. The specialist teams are experienced in conducting commercial and non-commercial clinical trials, collaborating with trial management units (SMOs) and independently. To date, the area of clinical research activity of the 1st MCH in Lublin includes, in particular, phase II to IV studies in cardiology, neurology, gastroenterology, rheumatology and metabolic diseases. The hospital provides organisational units with research teams in numerous commercial as well as several non-commercial clinical trials, which have received funding from the Medical Research Agency, and in cooperation with the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, the University Clinical Hospital in Poznań and the Piastów Śląski Medical University in Wrocław.
Our goal as an Observer in the PCTN is to: increase the quality of clinical research, acquire best practices in research management, cooperation of organisational units and task allocation, and increase the efficiency of obtaining commercial and non-commercial clinical trials and conducting them in accordance with the relevant standards.
