The University is currently implementing the largest medical investment in Poland – the construction of Central Integrated Clinical Hospital which will also be used as a venue for clinical trials. The implementation of the UniCTSC will increase the number of clinical trials by ensuring, among other things: common standard operating procedures, quicker contract execution, common clinical trial resources, a systematised organisational structure, support given by coordinators to investigators, and joint data bases of medical records from all subordinate hospitals.
Principal advantages:
- A total of 141 research projects in 2021, including non-commercial clinical trials.
- All clinical trial phases, from phase 1 to post-marketing phase 4.
- Two departments dedicated to phase 1 research, including one specialising in oncology.
- Certified medical diagnostics laboratories (full range of services), a Genetic Laboratory, a University Device Centre (non-standard biomarker assays) and a Pharmaceutical Technology Transfer Centre with technical capabilities for pharmacodynamic, pharmacokinetics and bioavailability tests (phase 1 trials).
